血管、甲状腺外科是在原普通外科的基础上建立于1972年,为国内较早设立此专科的医院之一。科室现有专科医师（技师）17人。其中4人（博士导师3人），副、副主任医师7人，副主任技师1人，讲师、主治医师3人，住院医师1人，技师1人。专科护士14人。专科学术水平达到国内先进水平，为全国重点学科。本学科是中华医学会外科学会内分泌乳腺外科学组副组长，中华医学会外科学会血管外科学组委员，中华医学会广东外科学会血管外科学组组长和中国抗癌协会广东乳腺癌专业委员会副主任委员的所在单位。我科每年收治住院病人超过1200例，完成手术例数超过1000例。主要治疗范围有：1.胸腹主动脉瘤、颈动脉体瘤、动脉硬化闭塞症(包括腹主动脉、髂动脉、颈动脉、四肢动脉)、急性动脉栓塞,大动脉炎,深静脉瓣膜功能不全,下肢静脉曲张,深静脉血栓形成,布-加氏综合症，血管损伤,先天性动静脉瘘,血栓闭塞性脉管炎等。2.各种甲状腺和甲状旁腺疾病。3.各种乳腺疾病（乳腺癌）。我科首先引进和改进、并在国内率先开展深静脉瓣膜外修复成形术治疗下肢深静脉瓣膜功能不全和开展腔镜筋膜下交通静脉结扎术治疗下肢静脉性溃疡，经近200例临床应用，疗效良好。例数与疗效居国内领先地位。将下肢浅静脉曲张手术、深静脉瓣膜手术与腔镜交通静脉结扎手术有机地结合起来，建立了下肢静脉返流性疾病的综合性外科治疗体系，治疗水平达国内领先水平。主动脉夹层的腔内介入支架治疗水平达国内先进水平，特别是成功进行了升主动脉腔内置入膜型支架治疗全主动脉夹层，据文献检索，到目前为止，国外仅正式报道1例。此外，对于腹主动脉瘤、下肢动脉硬化闭塞症、颈动脉体后等血管疾病和甲状腺癌以及乳腺癌的外科治疗或综合性治疗，都具有丰富的临床经验和较高的水平。甲状旁腺移植治疗继发性甲状旁腺功能低下症的基础和临床研究水平居国内领先地位，临床治疗水平达世界先进水平。近5年来在国内核心期刊上发表论文近80篇，参加编写专著10部，现正主编"甲状腺外科"专著，陈国锐、王深明主编，由人民卫生出版社2002年出版。现正担负自然科学基金课题4项，省部级科研课题8项。2000年，《甲状腺癌临床诊断和治疗的系列研究》获得广东省医药卫生科学技术进步三等奖和2001年广东省科技进步三等奖。IntroduceofthedepartmentofvacularandthyroidsurgeryThedepartmentofvacularandthyroidsurgerywassetuponthebasisofgeneralsurgeryin1972inourhospital,whichisoneoftheearliesthospitalstoestablishingthisspecializedunitinthewholecountry.Therearerecentlyfourprofessors(threeofwhicharePhDsupervisor),sevenassociateprofessors,oneassociatechieftechnician,threelecturersandseniorphysicians,oneresident,onetechnicianandfourteenspecializednurses.Ourspecializedacademiclevelhasbeenadvancedinthecountry,andourdepartmentistheemphasizedsubjectofthenation.Thevicedirectorofendocrinomammarysurgerygroup,thecommissionerofthevascularsurgerygroupunderChinaMedicalAssociation,thevicedirectorofbreastcancercommitteeinGuangdongunderChinaAnti-TumorAssociationandthechiefdirectorofGuangdongvascularsurgerygrouparealsoinourunit.Everyyearwetreatmorethan1200hospitalizedpatientsandaccomplishover1000casesofsurgeries.Thediseaseswemainlytreatinclude:1.Vasculardiseasesincludinganeurysmofthoracicandabdominalaorta,tumorofcarotidbody,atheroscleroticocclusion(includingabdominalaorta,iliacartery,carotidandlimbarteries),acuteocclusionofartery,aorto-arteritis,primarydeepveininsufficiency,varixoflowerlimb,thrombsisofdeepvein,Budd-ChiaraSyndrome,congenitalarteriovenousmalformation,thromboangiitisobliterans,injuryofperiperalandabdominalvessel,etc.2.Thyroidandparathyroiddiseases.3.Breastdiseasesincludingbreastcarcer.Itisalsothefirstoneinourcountrytocarryouttheexternalvalvuloplastyofdeepvenousvalveinsufficiencyintreatingprimarydeepveininsufficiencyandendoscopicperforatorsurgery(SEPS)invenousulceroflowerlimbs.Byfar200caseshavebeenapplied,thecurativeeffectsaregood.Thequantityandeffectofcasesareadvancedinthecountry.Wehavesetupacomprehensivesurgicaltherapeuticsystemoflowerlimb'srefluxingdiseases,whichiscombinedwiththeoperationofvaricosesuperficialveins,valvuloplastyandSEPSinlowerlimb.Thetherapeuticlevelisprecedinginthecountry.Theinterventionalstenttherapyofaortadissectinganeurysmisalsoadvanced.Particularwehavesuccessfullycureacasewithdissectinganeurysmoftotalaortabyplacingamembranousstentinthecavityofhisascendingaorta,whichhasbeenformallyreportedonlyonceintheworldaccordingtobibliographicretrieval.Inaddition,wehaveaccumulatedabundantexperienceonthesurgicalandcomprehensivetherapyofthyroidcarcinoma,breastcarcerandvasculardiseasessuchasarteriosclerosisobliterans,internalcarotidarterybodytumerandabdominalaneurysm.Thebasicandclinicstudyofsecondhypoparathyroidtherapybytransplantationisprecedinginourcountry,anditstherapeuticlevelisalsoadvancedintheworld.Duringthelastfiveyears,wehavepublishedabout80articlesonnativecorejournalsandparticipatedintheeditionoftenspecializedbooks.Nowweareeditinginchiefwiththespecializedbook-ThyroidSurgery,whosechiefeditorsareProfessorChenGuoruiandWangShengming.ItwillbepublishedbyThePeople'sMedicalPublishingHousein2002.WealsoshouldthetaskoffoursubjectsimbursedbyNationalScienceFundandeightsubjectsimbursedbyMedicalDepartmentandGuangdongProvinceMedicalOffice.TheSeriesstudyofclinicaldignosisandtreamnentofthyroidcancerwasobtainedthethirdawardofScientificandTechnologicalRewardforMedicineandDrugHealthfromGuangdongProvincein2000andthethirdawardofScientificandTechnologicalRewardforGuangdong
